Field Theory’s founder John Strohfus is a third-generation farmer who has been involved in agriculture his entire life. He became Minnesota’s first hemp grower in 2016 and founded Minnesota Hemp Farms, Inc.   Since 2016 John has developed a trusted network of Regenerative Agriculture focused growers for hempseed and many other specialty crops such as sunflower, buckwheat, oats, wheat, and kernza.  The company now operates as Field Theory Foods with focus on Regeneratively grown nutrient dense food ingredients.

John is an industry advocate for Regenerative Farming, bringing some of the first ever Regenerative Verified products to market under the Soil Carbon Initiative (Soil Carbon Initiative) verification program as well as Rengenerative Organic Certified (https://regenorganic.org/)
