Field Theory’s founder John Strohfus is a third-generation farmer who has been involved in agriculture his entire life. He became Minnesota’s first hemp grower in 2016 and has developed a trusted network of Regenerative Agriculture focused growers for hempseed and many other specialty crops such as sunflower, buckwheat, oats, wheat, and kernza.

John is an industry advocate for Regenerative Farming, bringing some of the first ever Regen Verified products to market under the Soil Carbon Initiative (Soil Carbon Initiative) verification program.
